Gary “el abuelo” Raydon

Gary Raydon took over the gym in 2020 from founder Rick Thornton, a Gracie Baja (Barra, fine) black belt, who founded and built the gym in Todos Santos.

Gary is a full-time resident of the Todos Santos area, a horrible but improving surfer, and Scuba Dive Master. Gary is currently ranked as a Brown Belt under Scott Frtizinger, owner of Guerrilla BJJ, Reno. Scott is a Black Belt under Dave Camarillo, owner of Guerrilla BJJ.

Gary began training in 2012. He received his brown belt in 2020.

His philosophy of BJJ is simple: Pressure is like duct tape. If it’s not working, you’re not using enough.
